O conto da Aia e Os testamentos: da repressão à resistência das mulheres em Gilead

This paper seeks to analyse the processes of resistance found in two literary dystopias: The Handmaid’s Tale (1985), and The Testaments (2019), having as a main goal the understanding of resistance as a flaw in the ritual of interpellation of subjects. In this regard, the analyses shall follow the principles of pecheuxtian discourse analysis, in which the subjects are built through the conditions of existence they are part of. As the corpus is made of two dystopian novels, it is necessary to understand their conditions of production, as they are a product of their society.
