For Authors

General conditions

  1. Tenso Diagonal accepts only original and unpublished works. They should not be in the evaluation process or have commitments with other journals or publishers. The articles will be received by email to revista@tensodiagonal.org, or by registering on the journal's website. We will accept the following formats: doc, docx or odt.
  2. The concepts included in the texts are the sole responsibility of the author or authors.
  3. All papers will be subject to a preliminary assessment by the Editorial Board, which reserves the right to decide if the articles meet the journal's lines of interest as well as the essential requirements of an academic paper.
  4. The journal admits writings in Spanish or Portuguese. However, all texts addressed to the sections "Territorios usurpados" and "Zona de clivaje" must contain an abstract in English and another one in the language of the body of work. Also, authors must submit up keywords in both languages.
  5. All contributions destined for the sections "Territorios usurpados" and "Zona de clivaje" will be peer-reviewed. The evaluation of each article will be carried out by specialists on the subject –external to the journal's Editorial Team–, which will be members of the Academic Committee or appointed ad hoc by Tenso Diagonal. Said evaluation might determine: article accepted, article accepted with modifications or non-accepted. The peer review conditions will imply anonymity both of the identity of the author and the evaluators (double-blind peer review). If the article needs to be corrected or modified, the authors will have a maximum of two weeks (as a limit) to make the suggested corrections and to submit it again. The article will then be forwarded to the evaluators for a final opinion.
  6. In the cases that the peer review process exceeds the time limits proper to the edition of the corresponding number, Tenso Diagonal undertakes to publish the works in its next immediate issue.
  7. When the submission of the articles to the sections "Territorios usurpados" and "Zona de clivaje" is via email, two documents will be sent; the first one will contain the title and the article. It should not mention any information that can be identified with the author or authors. The second document must specify author or authors' detailed information (name and surname, academic affiliation, email and postal address), brief biodata and the title of the text. On the other hand, the works destined to other sections of the magazine will be presented employing a single document.
  8. The rights to accept the articles will belong to Tenso Diagonal until the moment they are published by the journal. Subsequently, the author or authors will have the rights to their works with the condition of referring to their edition in Tenso Diagonal.
  9. The presentation of collaborations implies knowledge and acceptance of these conditions.
