Tenso Diagonal is a peer-reviewed journal of theory, criticism, and creation on literature, culture, and border communities. It is an electronic publication, with a annual frequency, and of free access. ISSN: 2393-6754.

It is part of the undertakings of the Proyecto Tenso Diagonal.

Proyecto Tenso Diagonal is a non-profit entity, made up of Latin American academics, which aims to contribute to the construction of social, humanistic and artistic knowledge through the promotion of research, book and magazine publications, and academic events - like all the editions of the International Fantastic Literature Colloquium (Montevideo, 2016-21), among others. All the activities carried out by Proyecto Tenso Diagonal are supported by contributions from its managers or donations from friends. Consequently, Proyecto Tenso Diagonal does not require any type of payment for its actions - it does not make remuneration either; Likewise, to preserve its independence and autonomy, it does not admit external advertising.

It works under the patronage of: Díaz Grey Editores (Nueva York, Estados Unidos), Grupo de investigación  "Literatura y Cultura del Norte de México" (LICUNOME) de la Facultad de Filosofía y Letras de la Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua (México), "Devir-Amazônia: Grupo de pesquisa em Educação, Literatura e Interculturalidade" de la Universidade Federal de Rondônia (Brasil), "Grupo de Investigación sobre Literatura Fantástica Uruguaya" (G.I.L.F.U., Uruguay) y "Grupo de Estudios Narrativas de lo Mutante" (Uruguay).
