Considering the current pandemic context, it becomes necessary to give thought to the relation between society and earth for a change of paradigm. Toward this perspective, this article brings an ancestrality study of the novel A Cura da Terra (2015), wrote by the indigenous author Eliane Potiguara, where it shows a grandmother a granddaughter relationship, sharing an ancestral history while trying to connect their lives through values and afection: childhood and old age. The grandchild is told about the history of sorrow and struggle that caused the Earth's illness, pointing out the need to review its connection with the environment. Therefore, the narrative approaches the worldwide pandemy Covid-19 inviting to think better of values and transformation needed in social and environmental crises. This novel analysis is done by the studies of Benjamim (1985), Bosi (1994), Candido (1995), Grauna (2013), Jekupe (2009);(2013), Mundukuru (2014); (2019).
