Abstract

The paper investigates the fantastic built by Jorge Luis Borges in the short story “La lotería en Babilonia” in terms of what is called metaphysical fantastic. To this end, it considers that Borges literature works with the philosophy taking into account the problems involving metaphysics nowadays, turning, metaphysics and critique of metaphysics in aesthetic material to create his particular way of creating fantastic.
