Tejido místico, arquitectura fantástica en los primeros cuentos de María Inés Silva Vila

Abstract

This article pursues a double finality: on one hand, it attempts to reinforce the importance of María Inés Silva Vila, an uruguayan narrator who created a self poetic and narrative universe, along with its problematizing inclusion in Angel Rama's emblematic collection titled Aquí. Cien años de raros (1966), as well as its incorporation in the category of fantastic literature. On the other hand, the reading of her first tales reunited on La mano de nieve from a mythical and poetical perspective allows the possibility of making the idea of fantastic literature come closer to the fields of symbolic and poetic imagination.
